Experience the Apple Vision Pro Auxiliary Head Strap First-hand

At Syntech, we continuously strive to create innovative and top-notch products that enhance user experiences in the digital world. Today, we're excited to disclose our latest development: the Vision Pro auxiliary head strap. This accessory addresses common discomforts associated with the original Vision Pro headset. We invited several beta users to participate in our beta testing program and help us make it better.

How Did Syntech Design the Vision Pro Auxiliary Head Strap?

Upon receiving the Vision Pro in February, our founder, Edward, quickly noticed the device’s discomfort- pressure on the temples, cheeks, and nose bridge limited usage to 30 minutes. Our team members experienced similar discomforts, which were widely discussed on forums like Reddit and YouTube.

Therefore, we tried a bunch of solutions and debated internally. Syntech's Vision Pro auxiliary head strap is designed to distribute pressure at the front, balance tilt, and force by moving power at the back, and eliminate the mess of charging cables when wearing it. Our product designers started to work on this project at the end of February 2024. The objective was clear: to develop a head strap that addresses all the user’s issues and discomforts and allows them to enjoy extraordinary VR experiences for extended periods.

Our design team commenced on a mission to enhance the comfort of the Vision Pro. After receiving the device, they spent half a month testing it and quickly identified the main issues: the unbalanced weight distribution and the pressure it exerted on facial muscles.

These discomforts echoed complaints from users on forums and social media. Ardent to find a solution, they dedicated the next month to development, crafting multiple design changes and adjustments per week. Through relentless trial and error, the concept of balance and gravity dispersion became the foundation of the final design.

Experience the Designer’s Narrative

When our team of designers first received the Vision Pro, they experienced firsthand the discomfort many users were talking about—the unbalanced weight distribution that presses uncomfortably on the facial muscles. After a two-week trial period to understand the issues, they began the development process, which took about a month. They made more than two weekly adjustments, refining the design to achieve a balanced, gravity-dispersing solution.

Our team aimed to address these pain points by creating a head strap that evenly distributes weight, reducing facial pressure. They created this design by considering the user’s security, especially while testing the head strap during long meetings, office work, and while enjoying movies, to ensure it enhances comfort in these scenarios.

Final Note

Guess what? We've just dropped our brand-new Vision Pro Auxiliary Head Strap! Look, we all know the original Vision Pro is awesome, but let's be real - wearing it for hours can be a pain in the neck (literally). That's why we at Syntech put our heads together to solve this headache. Our new head strap is a game-changer. It spreads out the weight so you're not feeling like you've got a brick on your face.

Now, you can binge your favorite VR games or work in virtual offices without feeling like you've been in a headlock. We owe a big thanks to all our beta testers who gave us the lowdown on what works and what doesn't. Ready to take your VR sessions to the next level? Grab the Vision Pro Auxiliary Head Strap and see what comfort really feels like.
